Douglas Gilbert is one of seven featured in the exhibition, presenting a collection of contemporary floral drawings. Crafted using graphite and charcoal, his pieces delve into the emotional connections between the beauty of fresh blooms and the dynamics of predator and prey.

These abstract impressionistic depictions of wildflowers and animal interactions call on the viewer to quietly remember the days of flower blossoms and creatures of the spring and summer.  The lack of color creates a dreamlike quality.  The texture and line work invites the viewer to connect and contemplate.
